Middle/Lower Gauley Adventure

Our Middle/Lower section of the Gauley River is impressive and extreme.  Don’t overlook this challenging 17 miles of high adventure fun because of its Upper companion.  The Middle/Lower adventure has world-class whitewater, unexpected drops, ocean size waves and jaw-dropping scenery. Experience over 50 rapids on this fast flowing class III - V river. Middle/Lower Gauley trips are suitable for thrill seekers above 11 years old and both intermediate and experienced rafters. This section is the longest trip we offer with the most rapids, wave trains, and hydraulics creating a river memory you will take home and cherish.

Double Upper Gauley Adventure

Thrill seekers can choose this extreme trip that doubles your adrenaline with the best whitewater twice in one day.  If you really thought Insignificant was properly named or your paddle didn’t hit Pillow Rock the first time then here’s your second chance to have a perfect run on the Upper.  Instead of 40 rapids, make it 80 to get 18 miles of the most unique one day whitewater trip in the U.S.A.  Start your morning in the fog and mysterious mist while your feet hit the lapping water downstream from the Summersville Dam.  A deli lunch is served at the scenic overlook park that splits the Lake and the Dam. Get your energy back to raft again, this time your view is clear with the afternoon burning the fog off to reveal the vast canyon and raging water.

Upper Gauley Adventure

The Upper Gauley is the standard by which world-class whitewater is measured. The ultimate challenge in North America, experienced rafters will navigate no less than 40 rapids including 5 of the most exciting Class V sections in the world. Not for the timid!

Experienced paddlers ages 16* and up will absolutely thrill to the wild assortment of waves on the upper Gauley -- Pillow Rock, Iron Ring, Sweet Falls. With class V+ whitewater, this section guarantees a journey of which every true adventurer will want to partake. Make your reservations early because seating is limited.
